Annapurna Bhandar age limit explained
The Annapurna Bhandar age limit is 25 to 60 years. This is the main age criteria in both official sources. Some simple examples:
| Woman's age | Inside the age limit? |
|---|---|
| 22 years | No, she is under 25 |
| 30 years | Yes |
| 45 years | Yes |
| 58 years | Yes |
| 65 years | No, she is over 60 |
What if you are just turning 25, or just turning 60? The official pages do not explain exactly how age is counted near these edges, or on which date. In that case, ask at your BDO, SDO or KMC ward office before you apply. Your age will be checked against your documents, so make sure your date of birth is correct on your Aadhaar and EPIC (Voter ID card).

You cannot get the scheme if any of these is true:

Is there an income limit?
Many people search for an Annapurna Bhandar family income limit or income criteria. The official eligibility rules we checked do not list a family income limit. The rule they do list is that the woman must not pay income tax, and must not get a regular government salary or pension.
If you are not sure, ask at your BDO office (village areas), SDO office (town areas) or KMC ward office (Kolkata Municipal Corporation area). They can tell you what applies to you.
