Sources we trust

• The Government of West Bengal scheme page on wb.gov.in
• The official notification from the Department of Women & Child Development and Social Welfare
• The official application portal, socialregistry.wb.gov.in

How we handle other information

• Payment dates and figures from news reports are labelled as reported.
• If the official sources do not publish something, such as a helpline number, we say so. We never invent numbers, dates or links.
• Every page shows the date it was last checked.
